Birthday Decorations

Ok so whoever made birthdays parties that had to have these huge themes, with party favors, and your choice out of 10 different desserts, and the whole sphill??? Growing up you all got the same decorations, balloons, streamers, the happy birthday sign, and I know very old fashion...cake and ice cream. Who would think of that at a birthday party. SO that is just how I decorated Myas Big day, she got balloons streamers and cake and ice cream. I didn't feel the need to go way out on her first b-day, she doesn't even know whats going on! Ok so maybe this is all an excuse because I have absolutly NO creativity, and really you don't need a creative mind to blow up balloons and hang streamers. It really was a fun day though and I actually had a lot of fun hanging up her decorations...old school way!

CAKE TIME

Mya was SO SO SO tired by the time we got home to eat cake and ice cream she seemed like she could care less about anything! Poor thing. But once the cake got in front of her she came alive! She is her mama's girl, she loves sugar! At first she just dipped a couple of fingers in the cake and than after she licked all the frosting off, she grabbed the cake and went after it! Gosh I love this little girl.

I just had to add this picture of Hannah, I think she looks so dazed and just funny expression. I believe she just came up out of the water from doing one of her cool tricks as she calls them!!!

Hannah loved this slide and she is so daring. She would fly down it backwards. Todd got some good shots!

Daxton absolutly loves to give kisses, but just to babies. He was so cute, I think Mya got like 100 kisses that day. He would walk over to her and just lay one right on the lips. By the 62 kiss Mya decieded she had had enough and just smacked Daxton knocking him over. Yea my little one has a bit of a temper growing. She shows me more of it each day. I thought that doesn't happen till their two???

MYA TURNED ONE YEARS OLD

Mya, our little baby, is one years old now. Gosh I can't believe it, time flew this last year with her. We went over to the Clearfield Aquatics center and did some swimming with her cousins. It really was a lot of fun and are so glad Chel could come with her kids. The kids really enjoyed it. Except brody when we made him float with his floaties cause he thought he would drown. And don't worry if you were there on Wed and you heard this high high squealing sound like someone was dieing it was just brody! That kid can scream. It was a lot of fun. Mya at first was not sure of the water...but by the end she was loving it and splashing and actually let me leave her side here and there. This is sad to say but this is the first time we have taken her swimming in a public pool, really swimming ever I guess! I don't know why either, I love water and being out in the sun and Todd well he hates swimming with a lot of people. He will only swim in his pool in Cali at home, odd I know. But I really need to take her more so she is more used to it. It is funner to go with people though, so if anyone ever wants to go swimming I am up for it. Oh and I highly reccommend the Clearfield center, it was so fun, it has tons of stuff for the kids!

Silly sleeper

Mya is a funny baby. When we put her down me and todd will go and check on her like 30 min after we lay her down. This for different reasons, sometimes it's just cause I miss her and need to see her but also because Mya likes to put her chunky legs in between the bars in the crib...yes if you are wondering there is no way she can get her legs in between those bars I am telling she does and then she gets them stuck and wedged good and it hurts her really bad. We usually hear screaming and go in there and yes she has her legs pinched in between the bars. There is a solution for this, go buy a better bumper set. The one we have is just really flimsy and soft and she can pull it down way easy with her feet. Anyways back to the checking in on her thing, so when we check on her and open the door she usually can't see us cause the bumper is there. Sometimes she hears us open the door if she is not asleep yet and will try and lift her head over the bumper to see who is there. Well she got smart. I go in to check on her and the little smartie decided to pull the bumper up and I walk in and she has the bumper ripped up and her face smashed against the bars staring at me. She starts to laugh when she see's me a laugh that said " ah now I can see you when you and daddy come in, no more sneaking behind the bumper". I was just laughing when I saw this I wish I would have gotten a pic of her face smashed up on the crib it was so cute. Of course you never have your camera on you when you need it. But these are pics after she had fallen asleep and the bumper was still wedged up!

This is mya's new sleeping position and for those of you who know her this sleeping position is much better than her typical one which is her on her back with her pink blanket literally rapped around her head. Many times babysitters have been so scared they tell me when I pick her up that she was suffocating with this blanket rapped tight around her head. I tell them yes I know that is how my dear child sleeps and if you try and move the blanket a 1/2 inch she will wake up. She loves the blanket wrapped around her face! So needless to say we are liking this sleeping arrangement of her much better!

This is my new carrier for Mya. We had a gift card to Sportsman's and so we thought we would get something I have been dieing to get forever. Mya absolutely loves this thing. I take her on walks all the time just around town and she just thinks she is in heaven with her little shade canopy. Can't wait to take her to ZIONS!

CALIFORNIA CRAZINESS

My trip to cali to visit Lacey was such a blast. There is like 50 pic in the slide show below, sorry, there was just so many pics taken over the week. I can't remember the last time I laughed so hard. We went to the beach a couple of times which was so nice, despite the gloomy wheather. Only the fist day was so horrid hot. Mya loved the sand but was terrified of the ocean. If you started to walk near the ocean she was scream. Everytime a little ripple of a wave came it she would cling to you. So the ocean will have to take some getting used to. I was shocked she was so terrified, she loves water. But the ocean is huge and it can be scary to a little person. WE also went down on the harbor one evening, those are the picture you can see of all those little rides. Mya was so tired on the way there she has the meanest glare, but really she is not trying to glare thats just how she looks when she is trying so hard to stay awake. She was good to let us take pics of her on all the rides though. That buck teeth sponge bob was a little frightening. We ate great and Mya loved aunt Lacey's food. Lac is an amazing cook! It was a wonderful break for us, we only wish Todd could have joined us, I guess someone has go to work while I play. Poor guy. Thanks for the fabulous vacations bubs, We need to make that a yearly tradition, if the funds allow for it.

My California Vacation

GOOD FOOD

Lacey is a superb cook. I loved eating there, it was like eating out everynight and morning. Here are a few pics of her good cooking. And it was all so so healthy!
